A multicultural, community-based, nonprofit service organization whose programs are designed to meet practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of persons living with HIV/ AIDS.

Communities Responding to the HIV/AIDS Epidemic
(CORE) A USAID-sponsored comprehensive information resource for community and faith-based organizations working to address HIV/AIDS throughout the world. Includes information on partner faith-based organizations in Africa.

Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health Interfaith Health Program
Builds broad networks for learning within and across local, national, and global health and faith systems.

Interfaith Care Alliance
A nonprofit organization that works with partner congregations to assist their development of service programs that manifest each congregation's commitment to member care for people with HIV/AIDS.

Religion and AIDS
A collection of articles and links, including Christian, Jewish, Buddhist and interfaith perspectives from The Body. Also features an ask-the-expert feature on spiritual support.

SILOAM Ministries
A safe, confidential space where those infected/affected by HIV/AIDS can access a resource for wellness through one's spirituality.

World Faiths Development Dialogue
A joint initiative of James Wolfensohn, President of the World Bank, and His Grace George Carey, Archbishop of Canterbury, to explore how links between faith leaders and organizations and development institutions might be enhanced. Includes work on HIV/AIDS.

A program of the San Francisco Zen Center which includes volunteer services, residential care, and trainings.

Christianity

Alert!
Online newsletter about AIDS from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, with links to archived past issues.

The Ark of Refuge
Provides training and outreach to church leaders in African-American communities in the San Francisco Bay Area and Western United States. Also provides services to community members affected by HIV.

The Balm in Gilead
Operates an HIV/AIDS technical assistance center designed specifically to serve churches as well as public agencies and community-based organizations that wish to work with churches on AIDS issues as they relate to the African-American, African, and Caribbean communities.

Catholic Agency for Overseas Development
The English and Welsh arm of Caritas Internationalis, a worldwide network of Catholic relief and development organizations. Works in partnership on over 1000 programs worldwide, including HIV/AIDS programs is Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.

Catholic AIDS Action: Namibian Catholic Bishops Conference
Works with Roman Catholic-affiliated groups and institutions to support programs of HIV/AIDS prevention, home-based care, spirituality, and support of orphans in Namibia.

Catholic Medical Mission Board
U.S.-based Catholic-sponsored philanthropic organization that focuses exclusively on providing healthcare to people in need worldwide. Programs include HIV/AIDS initiatives in Southern Africa and Kenya.

Christian Aid
An agency of the churches in the UK and Ireland, funds many HIV/AIDS-related programs, most of which are in sub-Saharan Africa. Christian Aid also encourages partner organizations to incorporate an HIV/AIDS focus into other aspects of their development work.

Dignity/USA
Dignity/USA's National AIDS Project works with national AIDS organizations to both add a GLBT Catholic perspective and to provide information to local chapters.

National Catholic AIDS Network
Devoted to helping the Church respond in an informed and compassionate manner to the challenges presented by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

National Episcopal AIDS Coalition
Educates Episcopalians about HIV/AIDS issues, advocates for the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of all people infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS, and more.

Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches
Addressing the spiritual needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community around the world. Features HIV/AIDS discussion group.

World Council of Churches
Documents on Christian responses to HIV/AIDS.

World Vision International
Christian relief agency, sponsors the HIV/AIDS Hope Initiative.

Islam

Health Education through Religion Series
A discussion of the role of religion and ethics in the prevention and control of AIDS, from a Muslim point of view. From the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean.

Islam and HIV/AIDS Project
Works with partner NGOs to train Islamic leaders in Mauritania to talk to their constituents about HIV/AIDS using references to Islamic teachings.

Islamic Supercourse

Judaism

Holy Blossom Temple AIDS Committee
Ontario, Canada-based community outreach program designed to be responsive and sensitive to the Jewish community and culture. Promotes awareness and understanding, offers a safe & welcoming Jewish environment. Provides AIDS seder, AIDS memorial service, and educational program.

Jewish AIDS Network - Chicago
Providing services and referrals for Jewish people with HIV/AIDS, their families, and loved ones.
